The problem of children who used a smart phone who couldn’t stay at night was finally solved by a professor at Hunan University, Lu Bing'an. He developed a practical aluminum-ion battery in the United States, which can be used for three or four days. Children with Apple phones may be able to leave home for a few days in the future.
The aluminum battery developed by Professor Lu has an ultra-high charge and discharge frequency, and even after 7500 cycles, the capacity is not attenuated at all. Compared with mobile phones such as the iPhone with lithium batteries, it must be charged for 1 to 2 hours to fully charge. The aluminum battery can be completed within 1 minute, and it can provide three or four days of battery life for the mobile phone.
Because the positive electrode material of aluminum battery is easily corroded and cannot be effectively discharged, the research and development of aluminum battery has been in the concept stage. Lu Bing'an and Dai Hongjie's research group at Stanford University in the United States used three-dimensional graphite as a positive electrode material to improve the charging and discharging time of the aluminum battery.
