The output of recycled aluminum has increased from 1.3 million tons in 2002 to 3.8 million tons in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 21.37%. The volume of scrap aluminum imported from the rapid increase in recycled aluminum production increased from 447,700 tons in 2002 to 2,853,500 tons in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 59.82%. The proportion of scrap aluminum imports to recycled aluminum production in the same year increased from 34.38% in 2002 to 75.09% in 2010. The domestic recycling of waste aluminum increased from 640,000 tons in 2002 to 1.06 million tons (metal amount) in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 7.29%. The new batch of recycled aluminum enterprises generally have a high starting point for investment, with large scale enterprises and advanced technology and equipment, which has changed from the traditional family-style production mode to the large-scale enterprise model.
Recycled aluminum consumes low energy, the automobile industry develops steadily, supports the demand for recycled aluminum, and the industry has a low degree of development and a broad prospect. With the support of the state for the recycling aluminum industry, the advantages of its industry development will be more obvious. The steady development of the downstream automobile industry and the support for the demand for recycled aluminum are also obvious.
