  • Description

The main alloying elements of the 6061 aluminum rod are magnesium and silicon, and form the Mg2Si phase. If it contains a certain amount of manganese and chromium, it can neutralize the bad effect of iron; sometimes a small amount of copper or zinc is added to increase the strength of the alloy without significantly reducing the corrosion resistance; there is still a small amount in the conductive material. Copper to offset the adverse effects of titanium and iron on conductivity; zirconium or titanium can refine grains and control recrystallized structure; in order to improve machinability, lead can be added

The Mg2Si is solid-dissolved in aluminum, which gives the alloy an artificial age hardening function.

6061-T6511 is the main alloy of 6-series alloy. It is a high-quality aluminum alloy product with heat treatment pre-stretching process. Its strength cannot be compared with that of 2XXX series and 7XXX series, but its magnesium and silicon alloy have many characteristics and excellent. It has excellent processing properties, excellent welding characteristics and electroplating properties, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and no deformation after processing, compact and defect-free materials, easy polishing, easy filming and excellent oxidation.

Suitable for solution heat treatment or extrusion rods, pipes and pipes which are stretched in a specified amount after cooling from a high temperature forming process, and drawn pipes, which are not straightened after stretching.
The permanent deformation of the extruded rod, type and tube is 1% to 3%; the permanent deformation of the drawn tube is 1.5% to 3%.
